Orphan/Foster Family and Marriage Outreach, UDG, Fall 2024
In Fall 2024, MMN partner Save The Orphans visited Moldova to meet with partner organizations and volunteers to assess on-going efforts and explore opportunities to improve and expand existing programs. Slavic and Ala continued to meet with churches to hold Marriage Courses and organized a family conference in the city of Comrat featuring Andrei Patz, a Russian-speaking pastor from Germany. UDG presented sessions for business training and counseling.
Marriage Ministry, UDG Activities, Summer 2024
In Summer 2024, Slavic and Alla reported on the popular and successful July tent ministry event held jointly for the villages of Krasnoarmeiskoe and Talaesti, southwest of Chisinau near the Romanian border. Slavic and Alla held sessions for men, women and children. During mid-August, UDG sponsored a four-day training session on Project Management, which Management Program Dean Igor Prisac conducted. As the current school year begins, UDG launches the new educational “Equipping Preachers Program,” which addresses the critical need for formal biblical and theological training among church leaders, particularly in rural areas.
Marriage and Robotics Ministries, UDG updates, Spring 2024
In Spring 2024, Marriage Ministry leaders Slavic and Alla Verenciuc presented The Marriage Course at the Bethel Church in Chisinau and at the main Baptist church in Tiraspol, Transdnester this spring and early summer. In those programs, the young couples talked about conflict resolution. Save the Orphans expanded its Computer and Robotics Camp,, into a weekly Computer Workshop for teens in the Chisinau area. Ion Gardarenco led this computer outreach where the Gospel message is included along with robotics training for young people. In May, UDG graduated a new class. It also provided a Trade School in Vatici, where students finished their training in spiritual formation and professional development in the field of auto mechanics, construction, computers, tailoring, and cooking. In June, UDG’s Business Development Institute hosted a specialized training on Sales and Negotiations.
